My First Dollar Coin

After 13 months in the hobby, I finally found a non silver dollar. Found it yesterday in a park and area I have hunted extensively for the past 2 months.

I had to tumble it with some palmolive dish soap over night, it was so stained from being underground for who knows how long.

I can't believe I missed this sucker, it was in an area that I have hunted many many times.

Great find! Congrats. I found one a few years ago. Those are about as rare as an old silver Morgan. : ) Good luck on future hunts.

I found my only one of those in my yard in my first ever 5 minutes of detecting.. Although mine is very tarnished, it would never clean up that well... It sort of spoiled me for a little while.. I thought I was going to run around and find Ikes all the time lol...

Never found one myself but I witnessed a guy (Jack from jackandjill) dig one and it was also found in a park.

Nice find. I'd have kept it looking "dug" but that's just me.
