It’s threaded on inside. Found in lot with early 1900s items but don’t think it’s that old. Thanks for the help

Hard to nail down an age, but they were made by Michelin.

Part of the problem in researching the age is due to the fact that they are now reproducing them, and all a search seems to turn up are the new ones for sale.

Thanks for the info. With some cleaning I can make out part of Michelin on it. Would love to find out more but had same problem in search.

Very likely 1910-1925.
