One final test. Revert the software to Ver 1.5, the software the Equinox was designed with. Use the factory 11" coil. Change nothing at all in settings. Lay the machine across a bed mattress and wave clad in front of the coil. If those elevated numbers are still there, then Minelab repair center needs to see that machine in person.

Mine is getting sent in. I've opened a repair ticket and it will be covered by warranty.

*Update*

Problem turned out to be the coil. 11" stock.
Coil has been replaced and unit is already on its way back to me and was covered under warranty.

I gotta say that I'm impressed with Detector Center. Their customer and ease of communication was top notch. Not to mention their turn around was incredibly fast. They received my machine Monday afternoon and it's already headed back to me.
