Monday I went out searching for good ground and found none at all. It was so bad that turning for home heading back to the car my pouch was empty, and that's not easy to do. I knew a change in tactics was needed, so on the return trip I detected the top of the rise as it flattened out. The few targets I found came from where the black sand was firm. I think the silver quarter was flipped up onto the beach and never made it back down when the tides subsided. I was fortunate to snag it.......

Thanx for the report. Meager though-it-may-be.

The CA coast, including you So. CA guys are about to get pounded with SW winds and swells. You'd best get your b*tt down there again @ try @ Thurs. and Fri. Low tides.

Don't forget to send me my 30% cut !

There will be one less hunter on the So. Cal. beaches this week, I'm stuck in Las Vegas. And, I hate the desert.
