Z, you have paid for that machine so many times,,,,,hate to say it but it looks dead,,,,,,never seen salt water damaged boards come back to life,,,,,know you rewarded yourself with it and keep the headphones, coil, knobs and give it a burial,,,,,GL HH
 
Glad you got it back up and running. Nice work and frankly I thought it was a goner. But what exactly caused the leak? Unless you had a crack in the housing or endcap, the O-ring would be my best guess. Did you replace that as well?
 
Saltshaker Yes, replaced the o rings on the controls, my guess is that was the issue. I had never replaced them and only lubed them once in 10 years.

Oh so the orings for the control stems, I replaced mine and it was like night and day. Those can get really bad.
That reminds my excal is due for a seasonal inspection and cleaning...never can be too careful.
