I think it can be just as effective, it works well in the iron and trash but I believe the Deus is in a class by itself, it can be adjusted to fit any scenario where as the Equinox 600 is limited as far as how many tweaks you can do, I understand the 800 is more adjustable and I would like to try it out. But with my limited experience with this 600 I have no complaints. I really like it and I think I will continue to like it.

8 inches and I was surprised when I checked my settings and saw I was in reactivity 3, awesome depth for that much reactivity.
