Went out for a bit in the woods that once had sharecroppers in the area, got a good solid quarter signal, dug down about four inches and thought I had a silver quarter as I could see some silver. Nope, instead it was a coin shape with crossed long rifles and a capital B between them at the bottom. Pics didn't turn out very good but posting them anyway.

Pic quality sure would help. Believe you have uniform infantry button. Writhing on back? One of the knowledgeable members will be along shortly.

The crossed rifles were adopted as the symbol for infantry in 1875 the letter B is for The company and there should be numbers above that tell the regiment

Thanks for the help, found it on a site, Infantry, B Company Enlisted Collar Pin 1927-1934 era
