I found this old belt among a lot of modern belts in a box
at the fleamarket.
Of course, the two young ladies had no idea where it did come from
or how old it was.So I could do a bargain and get it for only 0,50
cents ;).
At first glance it looks to be an ordinary old kid's belt.....
But look at it closely! - it is an german officer's belt from the 2 WW.
After the war it was cut short to fit a kid's waist, because everything
was needed in those days and every possible item had to be recycled to
meet the urget needs of the population.
You can easily see the belt's end cut with scissors.
Part of the round RZM "Reichszeugmeisterei" seal is still visible .

Interesting find.... Always have to be on the alert at flea markets... hidden treasures do pop up. RickO

The same day at the same place,
we (my wife and I) talked with a woman from whom I bought one
of those flashlights.Just joking she told me that I could use it
next time at the same flea market.
I asked why she suggested that .:?:
Then she said many collectors use to go to there very early in the
morning while still dark ,looking for bargains sales.Being first there
to get the very best antiques :wow::shock::lol:
