Heck of a day.
Yesterday I was asked to look for a lost gold necklace. Thin gold and I went over the yard twice with different machines with no luck. Her yardman was supposed to cut the grass so I went back and used a third machine. Found a lock and 4 keys that somehow I missed yesterday. Also a bunch more junk.
I’m pretty sure the necklace is inside her house. She is too.
Then I headed to a permission I’ve been working in stages. 1930s house with a LOT of trash. I’ve been steadily working my way removing the shallow signals, mostly trash and gradually getting down to “the good stuff”!
I’ve worked about 3/4 of the yard and dug plenty of memorials and wheats. A ‘38 dime and a ‘42 quarter have come to the surface. I was very sure I had cleaned out the parts I had already worked but as I headed towards the unworked section, I was picking up nice sounding signals. Apparently all the heavy rains we’ve had recently was moving some targets around. The unworked section yielded a nice harvest of clad and 4 wheats, a ‘17,’42, ‘51 and ‘56.
I started working my way back and picked up a few more coins. At the base of a palm tree I got a very quick 93 on the ATP. I couldn’t get a repeat but something told me to dig. About 8 inches down was my first Franklin half, a ‘58.
It’s gorgeous.
