coil upgrade

I'm using the Fisher F70 detector & I'm thinking it's time to upgrade the coil.
It has the 6"x10" eliptical coil & It seems I can't get any deeper than 8". I'd
like to get more depth say 10" to 12". I hunt mostly coins & relics in parks
& dirt lots. Anybody have experience with the SEF coils ? I would like some
input before I invest in a new coil. Thanks.

If you search the web, there are a very limited number of comments about the SEF in general. It seems to be well thought of by the DFX and Minelab communities with a nice 2-part video being on Youtube by a DFX driver. The only F70/75 comments that I found were negative - complaints about excessive EMI problems. I never found comments from other owners (Tesoro was my chief interest).

If I were in your position, I would try to make sure you have a window to return the coil to Kellyco if you don't like it. Or be patient and wait for a used one to show up at a good price. I just bought a used 15x12 SEF for 5-pin Tesoros - my only concern is my shoulder atrophying or something cool like that.
