Went out today and got a good tone saying 8+ inches... it was right! I was beginning to think it was lying to me after a while, but figured my pro pointer wouldnt be telling me the same lie. blade of spade is 14" and I still had to go a couple of inches deeper... who says the 250 lacks depth!!

Found this at least 16 inches down!

Any Axe gurus have a type and approx age??

That 250 is a deep seeker

On large targets. The depth scale on metal detectors is calibrated to be accurate on "coin sized targets" I was told by the great folks at Garrett. Bigger targets will show as shallower than they are and smaller targets will appear to be deeper than they are...

And look at the display, it says "Coin" depth and 8+

Neat Axe Head!!! Great find. I;m sure someone on here will be able to tell you about it, but I'm betting it's old.
