Ok, I found a 50 pence coin the other day, nothing old, 1997. My question to those of us on the forum from "across the pond" is: Is the new currency Euro, or is this still legal tender? And is the usd value around 88 cents, that's what I get when I try to do a currency conversion? Neat find anyways.
On a side note, I think the playground I found this on was already hit by someone prior to me, the only thing besides this coin I found was what appeared to be pieces of aluminum, this coin ID'd similar so if this detectorist was running with the disc cranked way up they missed this one! As stated on this forum numerous times..... easy on the disc.
