Found a ring with 14 stamped inside. Looks like it was ornate on the exterior. How do I clean it?

To me that looks plated, gold usually comes out nice and shiny inside and out...

Can you get a clearer image of the stamp marks? I agree I think it was plated

Old post but ill chime in. I bought one of little red containers for jewelry cleaning at Wal-Mart. It's over by the jewelry case and comes with a silver and gold polishing cloth. It also comes with a tiny brush but I find it's not nearly as good as a toothbrush. I've used it on each of our dug rings and even the non gold and silver rings look awesome when i'm done.
