In an Eq 600 I know there are 3 single frequencies 5,10,15. In multi is there still only 3 but used at the same time, or do you also have 20 and 40 in the mix (to make 5 total)?

All 5 available in multi on the 600.

Which one are actual used is the 'multi' mode is a Minelab secret. All are available in multi mode (600 and 800 are identical in multil mode) but not all may be used in a particular mode.

it is true that multiple frequencies are used in different modes.
For instance park one is "Weighted" for high conductor targets and thus use the lower frequencies. But beyond this Minelab does not say much about what is actually going on in the different modes.

But from common detecting knowledge you can deduce what frequencies or close to what frequencies are used in different modes. Gold will use the higher frequencies.

Lots of speculation about this issue, like fbs reports 28 frequencies..Minelab will never divulge the truth about the equinox like they’ve never released the truth about fbs ..secret sauce and speculation but they work great.

FWIW the multi on Nox 600/800 has no correlation to the single frequencies at all. Completely deferent method and use a range. Depending on mode, the primary frequency used is shifted up or down.
