Junior Sheriffs badge

I did a little detecting on the way home yesterday like I normally do. Didn't find any old coins but I did dig up this intact junior sheriff's badge. Anyone have an idea of how old it might be?

My guess would be 1950 I have dug one just like that or pretty close it is marked 1957 on back

I couldn’t guess any better than 1950s either, but it looks like this might be an eBay auction for the same item: Vintage Metal Junior Sheriff Badge.

Unfortunately, the auction doesn’t give any additional info other than a somewhat blurry shot of a clean version of the badge. The design in the center seems to match, there’s the same small circle inside the triangle of the top spike of the star, and the same add circle marks on the back of the badge.

Cool find, Tundra...awesome that it’s intact, too!
