A surprise US find.

I’m jealous, I have yet to find a silver coin. Sweet hunt. The Roman coins are fabulous!

Thank you.

I had more Roman coins out this week

They only minted 264,000 of them and they are worth quite a lot even in poor condition.

Thank you.

What he said^^^^ The 1916 D is the key ate in the series and is quite valuable.

Thank you.

What a great surprise find! To bad it isn't a D.

Thank you.

Great finds, I especially like the buckles (I have a buckle fetish, lol)
The merc dime should be 90% silver...

Thank you.

This is just one years complete buckles found, some minus the pin.......:D

That dime could have been lost as far back as WW-I by some yank soldier. Beautiful find.

I don't think we had US service men stationed locally WW1, yes for WW2.

Our local hospital.

"The 67th General Hospital was authorised on 3 March 1941, during the Second World War, and activated 1 September 1942 as an American Army Hospital and occupied by the U.S. Army Medical Corps.

After the war, it continued in use as a Ministry of Pensions Hospital and only became a General Hospital within the National Health Service in 1951."
