In June of this year I found an 1817 LC at an 1820’s house that I got permission to detect. The owner was so excited to see the coin, that I gave it to him along with some Indian Head cents and all the relics I found. I kept the rest of the found coins. The LC was the oldest I had ever found, but it was pretty toasted and the guy was just so happy to have it, I didn’t mind giving it to him. Last weekend I got permission to detect another house, built sometime in the mid 1800’s. The first coin I popped out of the ground was another 1817 LC. What are the odds of that! It is in pretty bad condition, but better than the first one I found this year
