So today the ground froze cancelling my hunt, and ending my year, so it's time to wrap things up and move on to other stuff.

This is my result for 2017, but should add 90% was dug this Fall, and it sure was a crazy great detecting season. I crossed off 4 finds that I've had on my want list for about 15 years, and 3 came in back to back hunts from the same field! :D That was about as epic as it gets for my digging, and truly made for a very fun year. My friend and I hunted twice a week for the first month but given the success we were having switched to three times a week, and were able to maintain the same success. I didn't strike out a single time, and the only thing that was along the line of a bad hunt is when I only found great finds and my friend just killed it. So needless to say I'm sad to see it end as it was the best Fall we each had in 17 years of hunting together, but being so satisfied with it all should help me get through until Spring.

totally amazing! Gives me hope of a rev war button as I found some flats that look like yours...

The way I see it is everywhere that you find early buttons you have a shot!

BTW... I watched several of your videos when I got the Deus in the Summer and it sure is a great detector... and very few that know me know I kicked my Minelab to the curb for good. I always said show me something that I like better on my sites and I'll drop that heavy Minelab faster than you can say crusty copper!

Really nice year IP, congrats! I haven't seen this many Rev war artifacts posted here in a long time, possibly ever. Congrats, Good luck in 2018!

Pretty incredible “big picture” there IP. Having sites like that must be a real rush, knowing that the next target not only could be,but has a pretty good chance of,being something unique, valuable, or both.
That’s all just a big pile of good reasons to look forward to spring! Outstanding 2017,it’s inspiration to everyone and especially newer guys who are questioning what’s left. If you’re willing to do some research, there’s ALOT left. That’s pretty obvious...
REALLY well done!

Amazing year indeed! It is usually really difficult to find what you are looking for but you go after the rev stuff, and FIND it, very well done!
