So I went back to my rocky spot yet again today determined to improve my past finds.
First up was this King George Vth Florin followed by the usual junk.
Plenty of nice repeatable targets today ( sinkers, coins & bullet cases)
I was finally rewarded with this 9ct band, weight 3.9 grams ... gold # 18 for the year!

:dingding: I love that coin and the goldie looks like an oldie design. Very nice and well done!

I went today as well but no gold ring for me! Water was cold and rough and murky. Well done on the persistence, i certainly lacked it today

Nice Meggie! you usually are like at 30 for the year, by now, aren't you? Has COVID shut down drops on the beach or something?

The ocean/sand/salt/water was somehow kind to that old coin . Nice job !

Thanks, yes gold count is down on the past few years.
I have had no restrictions at all on beach during the pandemic. All my beaches are well sanded in I'm afraid like many others are experiencing!
By the way yesterday I hit my 100th hunt for the year.
I usually hit that number around August.
It's nice being retired.
