Shield Nickel?

I believe this coin is a shield nickel. VDI was right, diameter is right, and on what I think is the obverse you can see the columns of the shield, off center where they should be. You can see just a hint of lettering on the reverse under the right lighting and magnification. Any hints, advice, or opinions are welcome.

Looks like a sheild nickel to me. I found one with even less detail than yours. Stellar find!
 
Thanks for the feedback, Stiffwrists. I feel much better about it now, I was afraid I was reading too much into it. A few more confirmations like that, I’ll feel safe to brag about it!:grin:
 
I would agree with a shield. There is only one with that particular look. Too bad the reverse is toast, and it is always difficult to get a date as it was very small and under the shield.
