Hey everyone hope you all had a chance to get out over the weekend. I met up with BottleCapKing yesterday and we did a little park hunting. I've been hung up on 98 wheats fty , so I was really trying to get to 100 but it wasn't to be today. This park has actually given up more injuns than wheats for me. I've only found one silver here with multiple hunts and it was a very deep barber dime last season. We spent a good couple hours there and as we were just about winding down, a man approached us and started talking about the hobby. Said he owns a very expensive minelab made for finding gold nuggets. It led to permission to hunt a couple properties right next to the park. We hunted a fairly old property next to his house and he also gave us permission to do the public easement out front of his house nice guy though. So we go do the vacant property right next to his. We were pretty excited cause we knew this may have not been hit yet. This yard was TINY. Literally big enough to walk down around the house and back. First coin found was a wheat by BCK. I honestly didn't have high hopes with such a small yard, and the guy said he has hit it before as well but wouldn't you know it a copper joined the party. I knew it was American as I could see one cent on the back. So we keep hunting I put it in my pocket. He comes over and for some reason I showed him the large cent. For the next 20 minutes he sat there spitting on it and rubbing the patina right off of it I had to keep hunting I just couldn't watch lol. He insisted it was a flowing hair. I agreed just so he would stop cleaning it lol ended up being a date less draped bust! There may have been a date on it, but I'm pretty sure it's now on the front of his tshirt. Other notables were a 1906 V nickel and some neat relics. Also added a pic of a small sterling ring found yesterday. Thanks for looking everyone and happy hunting!
