Test garden......

I was thinking maybe a large plastic container from Walmart or something for a winter test garden in the garage. Set it up off the concrete floor a bit. There's not too much room so something 18" deep and maybe 2'x3'. What does anybody else use ? I'd better dig fast as the frist 3-4 inches of dirt are frozen. Better get something with a lid....we've got cats.

Sounds like a good idea. I don't know if it needs to be 18" deep though. I'd think 12" at the most. ???????

The concrete may be an issue though, right ? I get signals from sidewalks and the like.

I planted a test garden a couple of years back. I planted a small bronze coin, a musket ball, brass buckle, a small piece of lead etc. Only at about 4" though. It is handy to see how different detectors perform. You just have to make sure you space them well enough apart, do a drawing of what you planted, and where
