I had a fantastic hunt, today! Started as a bit of a pooper, finding a lot of zincolns and seeing the spoor of prior detectorists, but it really picked up when I slowed down and hit the non-obvious areas.
In the pictures are my first walking half (I unfortunately gouged the reverse, due to thinking it was aluminum junk and the coin being in a vertical position, offsetting my plug - Oh the shame of it!). Thankfully, it's not a rare coin, so maybe a ring is in my future, considering its fine obverse condition.
Also: 1970s AT Grand Union 1 cent food stamp token (I suspect that these were given out as change to food stamp users to help thwart abuse of the system), 1982 20 pence, 1919 S wheat cent (with a serious case of the measles), Sears Brass Lock key, zipper tab can pull, 1 oz. fishing weight, and other stuff.
