I’d like to see your best find of 2017

My best find not be much to most of you but I broke a couple of milestones with my best from 2017. In my five years in the hobby I had never found multiple silvers in the same hunt, nor had I ever located a SLQ. Well, I nailed both milestones in the same plug. I was hunting a park that I have been scouring for the past two years, and will continue to hunt, and I got a weird signal but it sounded promising. I ended up finding a GW and two SLQs stuck together.

For me this Barber quarter.
Never found any silver Barber coin till this one and it was a long time coming.
I finally landed my white whale in 2017.

Some nice silvers there! Congrats on the milestones!

My favorite find of 2017 is probably this Coca-Cola Watch Fob. From what I've read, these were only made for one year (1925). The Swastika was actually a symbol of good luck before the Nazis.

Other honorable mentions would be a pair of Morgan dollars, a key day 1892-O Barber Half, an East Tennessee, Virginia & Georgia Railway (1869-1894) uniform button, and my only gold ring of the year.

My favorite for 2017 was my second Carson city seated dime, this one a semi key date. Good luck in the new year everyone!

My best find (monetary wise) was probably this Hubley Cap Gun. It's 100 percent complete and works like new.

The find I was happiest to find was this 1946 Rosie. It was the only silver coin I've found because I mainly hunt the same 2 places and I don't have a very expensive metal detector.

For me I think the best find is this seated dime wired to a trime. Yes they are each bucket list coins but I like that someone took the time to join them long ago and then I found them still joined over a century later.

I'd say this 1860 Mexico 1/4 De Real. Found at an old school construction site. My hunting buddy found a 1854 seated half at the same place.

This was my last hunt for 2017,wanted to try a park across the river but the gates were closed for the season.Well,there was a community garden before entering the park so what the heck give it a swing..3rd target.

I stopped on the way home and had it appraised..600$. Sure made my day.

I found a 1797 British cartwheel penny over by Millbury Ohio. I wished there was more detail to it but what do you expect from something that old and copper.

I also found a gold necklace weighing around 7 grams my scale bounces around a little bit. This was found by a complete accident. I was chasing a iffy signal that sounded good every once in awhile so I decided to clean out all objects in a two foot square. A gold chain was one of the objects. My original Target was a stinkin Lincoln. I'm glad I cleaned out all the metal items and took my time. Oh and I can't forget my Walker.

With only a few months under my belt I never dreamed I'd hit a Walker. And lucked across it just "detecting my way" over to a spot where I'd found a couple other coins.

My two best finds came from the yard of a home close to where I grew up. The first day I hit it I pulled a couple of silvers then this walker.

The next day I went back and pulled a few wheats and clad and the last signal I dug was this Distinguished Service Cross.
