Chauffeurs Badges, Let's See Them

Here is one from Kansas I dug a year ago.

It's so crazy that this post should make an appearance to day. I'd never heard of a chauffeur's badge... until today when I had a chance to spend an hour searching the yard of a 1940's house. I just found one. This was so much fun to find.

Mine is pretty crusty, but it's the only one I've found. It's hard to tell in the photo, but it is from Missouri 1919.

Nice! Have you tried soaking it in lemon juice then rubbing with baking soda?
I have not tried that. I basically just brushed it off enough to figure out what it was and read the date. It would be cool to find a database where I could figure out who it belonged to, I live in a small town and there might still be relatives around.
