I'm sure some have heard of this, but if you haven't read about the Silver dollar that netted this 'new record' and lower in the article they speak of the $7.59 million dollar US gold coin.

I believe some company down here in the Bay Area bought that coin. Surprisingly their company has nothing to do with coins

hummm...a non-profit organization purchased the coin?
make you wonder where or what organization has that kinda money to spend on a coin like that, I guess they wont pay taxes on that either.

Pretty coin though.
