Hi All,

I have a couple of sets of rechargeable batteries that I use for my detector (Ace 250) and I always wondered how I can store them. Well, I was playing around with some old altoid tins I had laying around. One tin holds 4 AA and a 9 volt perfectly. Now because the tins are metalic (hence conductive), I insulated the inside of the tin with duct tape (for the larger surface areas) and electrical tape for the sides. Seems to be a perfect match and storage possibility.

Go to a gun shop, gun show, etc. and pick up a couple of plastic flip-top cartridge boxes that hold 20--45-70 cal crtgs.AAs fit in them perfectly. When you change a set of batteries, put the used ones in the box with the bottom up so you know they are for recharging when you get home or for the garbage can if they are throw-aways.
