Need couple ID's strange items

OK the first one looks gold plated it is circular. And has a design sorta like those Roman vines you see on things, but it is around the edges it looks as if was scraped up pretty bad losing detail. But some of the leafs are still very shiny. The back has what looks like sodering, but has no design and is shiny but aged shiny. The middle of the design side has something there but I can not make it out. It looks like underneath is pewter due to the way it chips.


This piece is broken but has a sort of similar font to the ohm symbol font if you know what I mean. This piece also chips like pewter but I could be wrong I just know how this pewter button I have chips away. Please if anyone knows what I got let me know.
