Sunspot Stealth 6.5 vs 8 inch

I will mostly be freshwater lake hunting with random beach hunts and maybe a river or two.

I just call and placed an ordered the 8 inch stealth for these hunts. The lady I talked to said most people order the 8 inch so I went with that. This is my first scoop as I just got into this hobby. Is the 8 inch scoop overkill? I'm thinking its going to be huge. Would the 6.5 inch work just as good?

8 inch is not over kill... you want a big scoop to recover your target fast...

in the water big scoop means you don't have to be right on with your pinpointing...
