Some sort of old attachment ?

Hey guys first time posting I’ve read a bunch of the threads and everyone seems pretty knowledgeable and awesome so hi pleasure to make your sort of acquaintance haha anywayyy so i was sweeping in my local woods and I found this strange item , the thick square nail intrigued me especially since it just connects to the rest of the metal which perplexed me as to how they got the hinge like attachment on in the first place . I’m thinkinf some sort of attachment or foundation to keep something in place ?

Honestly, that was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw it, but then again, I have been researching plows a lot lately, due in part to recently finding a broken plow point myself, lol

Looks like a old culivator blade to me,after crops grow these were pulled between the rows to keep weeds down.
