M. C. Lilley & Co, Columbus, Oh, High St., later at 6th & Long. The firm consisted of Mitchell C. Lilley, John Siebert, Henry & Chas. H. Linderbert. Lilley was a bookbinder & publisher who entered the business of making lodge regalia in 1870. The first reference to military goods was in the 1876 CD. The firm continued through the 2nd World War. This b/m is on many different state seals and U.S. buttons. (Source: American Military Button Makers and Dealers; Their Backmarks & Dates by McGuinn and Bazelon)
