Video of 5 different pinpointers compared

An observation. Your Garretts Propointer by it's exterior wear, shows it's older that the others, and one thing I learned over the years is that the Propointer loses some of it's "snap" in a year, more or less. Listenening to the sound also told me that that specific unit wasn't near as young.

I'm just defending the Garretts cuz it was in a field with newer runners on that days track. I suppose everyone can find an original ProPointer to include in tests but to be fair, that unit should be new or no older than the others to be apples to apples.

We won't know the degradation rate in sensitivity with the newer Garretts for some time but I will be surprised if it's not about like the original GPP in 12 months.

I applaud whoever took all the time to put this video together. That surely took a lot of work. Thanks. martin

You could be right Martin. My ole Garrett is still a purring. I have a couple backups---TRX, Makro pointers.
