I was out today doing my thing with the Garrett Pin Pointer and something weird happened....I was using it to find a target and all of a sudden I heard an ambulance coming...I soon determined it was my pin pointer....

Now I confess I have not read any of the literature that came with it, it seemed pretty cut and dry on how to use it....

But is that "ambulance" tone a low battery warning?

Feel silly asking, but that's what you get for not reading your owners manual...that's probably why I'm still diggin so many pull tabs too I bet...smiles. Thanks.

A copy and paste from the pro pointer manual.

Audible Low Battery alert.
The battery
pro-Pointer
condition
of
the
PRO-POINTER
is
monitored
continually.
When
the
battery
becomes
low,
the
detector
will
sound
an
alternating
dual-tone
alarm.
This
sound
indicates
that
the
detector's
9V
battery
should
be
replaced
as
soon
as
possible

Thanks guys for the input...I was thinking I might have a problem with my GPP....but its' behind me now....sounds just like an ambulance too....smiles.
