Good stuff! Always liked the New York buttons. I'm anxious to hunt a bit this fall but they haven't been cutting the corn around me yet, but when they do, I'll be hunting every night! HH!

Short Hunt
Congrats on the nice finds!! It's been a while since I found a button. I gave it a shot today at a place I haven't hunted for years. I only came up with a round ball and a small 2 ring minie possibly CW. I found a Gardner recently that was carved as well. The one I found had the center ring carved out of it.

I know what you mean buddy. I worked 70 hrs last week & the weekend. Totally sucked not being able to dig. Good luck on your days off. HH

Nice mix of relics, it's sweet to find yankee and confederate stuff in a short time.

I know its a confederate camp. We find federal relics there a lot. The confederates camped there on the way in to Gettysburg & its the retreat rout also. We find Indian artifacts there also. Must have been a good camping spot for a long time. This spring I found a Virginia coat button at a federal 2nd corps head quarters. Go figure that one. I think they all took souvenirs. I think the Confederates used what they could get there hands on.
