Last week, one night after work, I drove by my #1 field. It is a hay field, and this is what I saw...
I was pumped...I haven't had a lot of time, or ambition to detect lately. This afternoon after work I headed for the field. I've got this small field pretty picked over. Pretty much digging a lot of iffy signals.
Not a lot to show for 3 1/2 hours today. lot of junk...no clad....1 I.H. penny....no date, but its a fatty. And what I think may be a civil war knap sack j-hook. Only thinking this because of other vids and pictures I have seen. Really appreciate any feedback on this piece. In the part of the field I found it, I have dug at least 15 mid 1860's and earlier coins, and I dug the fatty 10 feet away, so the time period is correct.
This IH puts me at 9 IH's for the year.
