I use a DD Bigfoot coil 18" long. It needed support. This cheap fix has worked for many years. The tie wraps hold well and don't drag in the sand.. With the tall man rod the angle was close to 45 deg. I had to shave a little off on the chop saw. It's light, strong, cheap and easy. Thanks Stanley.
. Picked up a 12x15 SEF coil for my sovereign XS. Made a support for it out of 3/16 cabinet end panel. I stained, lacquered, spray painted it, this should hold up. Surprisingly very lite and sturdy. Changed the big foot support too.
