Just a couple of Mercs

Last week I was on the coast of Oregon and dug these two Mercury dimes within 30 minutes of each other in a worked out park. The soil was very staining and the before pictures are the best I could clean them up. But after using a simple non abrasive baking soda scrub they came out fantastic!

Very nice! Good to see there's still good finds in the parks! I'm convinced there's just nothing good in my parks anymore! haha

I use the baking soda scrub on my Rosie's and common Mercs too. Drives the numismatic types crazy, but I like the shiny look. Great hunt!
