On a family vacation (i.e. no detector) over the holiday, we went to the beach in Valencia for a few hours. I had chills. Big beautiful beaches. People everywhere, even in the winter. Scalloped areas of erosion that showed rocks. Broken fragments of old pottery.
I saw no detectors, but asked a local aquaintance who said she had seen one last summer. I could have spent a month, detecting everyday. Someday I will go back.

As one who did a lot of HIKING in the military..... try a pair of women ankle highs (nylon hose) with wool socks. Yes we wore them in 82d ABN...... or at least thats what the guys told me when i got mine....... or was i just hazed?
