Drywall saw for cutting grass plugs?

Just wondering if anyone has ever used a drywall saw for cutting grass plugs? There really cheap and I was thinking of picking one up for detecting.

Problem.....I can see it breaking under your weight while cutting through the sod/grass.

Super sharp.....I see stitches in your future.

Just get a Lesche!
 
And also, the rocky soil from where I am, would definatley beat that saw to pieces. I went to a local store, in the lawn and garden area, and picked up a "leche" style digger. It's tough but not tough enuf. Works great for my budget though since it was on clearance and only $6

Been using an orange handled one for a year. Gotta make sure not to drag it against your coil wire while its in your hand.
 
I am a carpenter and do drywall all the time. My drywall saw (keyhole saw) has been through hell and is still in perfect condition. It has cut TONS of exterior grade 1" drywall, 12 gauge wire, and even a few metal studs. I think that it would do a nice job of easily cutting a clean plug, but you would need a trowel or shovel to remove the plug.
