Well, I've been hunting with my nephew this year. It's his first year and he has never has detected. He bought an AT Pro in like January.
I'd think we are supposed to be paying our dues and learning the hobby by digging junk and all that good stuff during season 1. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!
Sunday morning we were out to work 2 early 1800's home sites. We had to find them first! There are no cellar holes. They must have been only like tool sheds. All we had to work from was a terrible 19th century map and stone walls.
We were mostly digging the usual hunters trash until we finally homed in on the home sites. We start getting the flat nails and building materials. Hours go by and nothing fun but a broken pewter spoon or fork handle gets under my coil. We are about to quit for the morning and ........He yells, "I think I got another King George"! I trot over and see him holding this!
Is it beginner's luck or am I just getting us into the right places?!
