that the stones might not be real. I have heard of Th'ers in the past finding older sterling jewelry that had real diamonds or other precious stones in it and I have always told others to get anything that they are not sure about checked.
Well I got a diamond tester for Xmas - didn't ask for one - I actually told them I would not mind a cheap gold scale, but they got me this instead. So I went thru alot of my gold rings that had stones that could be diamonds. Most that I thought were real were, but a few I thought were -weren't and I had a couple that i thought weren't (mostly because the rings were 10K) -were. Yesterday I was playing around and found one in my silver ring collection that rang as real. It's marked .925 - but next to that it is marked 0.03. I had found it 2 years ago and I had asked anyone on other forums what that meant with not much for responses. I think that has something to do with the stone - it's not a diamond chip - but it is small. I rechecked it a few times and it rings out as a diamond. It does not make the ring really anymore valuable - but it does prove that they do put diamonds in silver.
