The shingles stopped spreading soon after starting the week of anti-viral meds.
Finished the week of anti-viral meds Tuesday night, now just waiting for the shingles to finish drying out and clearing up.
I think what helped was starting meds fairly soon after it first started after quickly realizing what it was, otherwise it may have been a worse case and taken longer to recover from.
