What do you guys think? I actually dug this coin in 2013 and was bored yesterday and was sorting through past finds with the red book. It looks like the examples online as well. Any thoughts on grade?

Great catch! Yours is way better than this one on ebay, you may want to spend the 20 or so dollars and get it certified.
It should be worth quite a bit of money. Congrats!

That double dye is very visible. I not sure how you can say it isnt it clear as day! Nice grab!

the term is doubled die. there are several types of doubling possible

Take it to a dealer , sure looks good , the wear may hurt the value , get back with the resaults

I have no idea where the doubled die is .As far as grade Good at best.

The Cherrypicker's guide suggests doubling evident on the motto, LIBERTY, and the date. The motto sure appears to be a doubling variety.

Definitely a keeper !! As for condition, it would help with a photo of the reverse. But based on what you show it could grade from "original" to good. Not many of those recovered by detecting. Congratulations.
