NEL sharpshooter

I purchase a second-hand NEL Sharpshooter coil for a Garrett Ace250. Can I test it to see if it is working without plugging it in to the metal detector? I can not try it on the machine as it is not here at the moment. Does anyone know where I can get details of the resistance expected on the 5 pin numbers. I have a VOM meter. I'm grateful for any information.
