Bullet and handle?

Please tell me more about this bullet and random other item I found.

I wish I had a better picture, but does it look like the copper jacket fell off? The shell is banged up.

not sure what caliber but looks to be a semi-wadcutter style.

The bullet appears to be a .45Auto. Deffinately a semi-wadcutter.....cast truncated bullet that never had a jacket. Banged up probably due to a mis-feed/jam. It frequently tends to dent the case sufficiently to render it unusable. Common with that type of bullet unless the feed ramp on the gun was polished.

The other item is hard to make out. Maybe an old valve stem cap?
