Went back to a home built in 1885 that I have hunted before. No too much but did find this button. Cannot seem to find any info on it. Says "Patent Gold Plate"??

Congrats on the old button! There should be old coins at that location. Make sure you are going slow and hunting in all metal mode, depending on what detector you're using. Keep up the good work! -Drew

I've been hitting this site for 3+ years with no non-clad coins. A couple cw buttons and some other cw finds. Most of the property you can drop pinpointer and it will go off. 40 years of beer canslaw makes some tough hunting.
