Got out for a few minutes yesterday on my own property trying to get out of my detecting 'lull'.
Nothing particularly interesting - a 1985 penny with a chunk out of it and a piece of 30-30 brass! I am trying to date the 30-30 case and I am trying to find a site that identifies headstamps on brass by year.

I know its post 1934 as it is a R P (Remington-Peters) headstamp but the R & P are separated with a dot instead of a dash.
I reload 30-30 and actually am using a lot of older brass that was given to me a a few years ago and a lot of it has the R P with the dot in between the letters. I suspect this is maybe some of the first brass made after the Remington bought Peters in 1934.
I am even loading some REM-UMC stamped brass which is even older.

Did you know it was a penny before digging?
No - I had not been detecting enough to remember the particular bar graph displays my (older) Quantum XT shows for particular coins.
It displayed the word 'coin' but will sometimes do this with non-coin items as well.
