Default Teknetics Omega 8500 or Patriot?

With the price drop on Teknetics machines, the Patriot and Omega 8500 are within 20 bucks of each other.

Which one would you suggest? I was looking at the Patriot, but the Omega price drop has me considering it now.

Patriot operates at 13kHZ while the Omega runs at 7.69kHZ. Not sure how much of a difference this makes with the modern circuitry in todays detectors.

I am mainly a coin/jewelry shooter who sometimes dabbles in relic hunting.
