I posted a few days back about finding my first class ring. At the recommendation of a few on the forum, I used Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish. Boy, what a difference! It cleaned up spectacularly. Now, my question is... The ring looked like yellow gold before, but cleaned up into a white gold. Does anyone have experience with this polish changing the color of the gold?

It was tarnished, or discolored. Seen it a few times with white gold. I've found gold I would have sworn it was 22k..then checking the "K" stamp it was 14, then cleaned it looks 14k.

That cleaned up real nice! Good job! Any metal polished to a high luster will look silver/Whitish. even polishing brass to a high luster will make it look silver. Let it sit for a few days out in the air and it will begin to tarnish a bit and look more the normal color. Either way, that was a nice find and a great clean-up.
