I got out after work a couple times after the 4th, late afternoon thunderstorms kept my low tide hunts jumping from beach to beach. I was able to score a ring each day, first was a lowly tungsten :no:

, but yesterdays buttery yellow one is the best :yes:

. Acid test holds solid at 18k, 22k holds a good minute before starting to fade, but never really disappears. Took the ring to my jeweler this morning to check out the stone, I figured garnet, maybe a ruby....ruby it is!

, although not a great one.

Thanks OBN, I'd be lucky to end the year with what you find in a half. From the beginning of Summer it's been looking pretty good though.
